Why Belle Farm

a house with solar panels and light bulb

Solar:

All homes have solar which allows us to use the sun’s energy to power our homes. This not only helps lower energy bills and reduce reliance on fossil fuels but also helps keep the power on when the grid goes down.

Geothermal heating and cooling

Geothermal:

All homes include geothermal heating and cooling via ground source heat pumps. Geothermal primarily uses the earth’s constant underground temperature to heat and cool each home. This provides an efficient and reliable way to keep homes comfortable, reduce our environmental footprint and protect against fluctuating fossil fuel costs.

EV ready wiring:

Ever thought about getting an EV but dreaded the hassle of home charger setup? At Belle Farm, every home is pre-wired for EV charging—so when you’re ready to plug in, your home is too.

Architectural variety:

When it comes to architecture, we love variety. Belle Farm includes a wide mix of housing sizes and styles: Cabins, Cottages, Chicago Row Homes, Nest Homes, and Custom Homes.

Native Plants

Deep-rooted native plantings:

Yards are planted with deep-rooted plants and flowers versus traditional grass lawns. Nationally renowned horticulturalist, Jeff Epping, has created the Belle Farm plant list and designs the stunning planting layouts for each home.

Wellness focused:

Our neighborhood was designed to make exercise and time outside easy. With trails, bike paths, and future access to gym amenities, taking care of your body won’t take a second thought.

Electrified neighborhood:

Our neighborhood is powered by solar, and our homes have geothermal heating and cooling. We are also connected to MG&E, so when we produce excess energy, we can give to the grid, and when needed, we can pull electricity from the grid. There are no gas lines at Belle Farm.

Top Ranked Schools:

Our neighborhood is located in the Middleton-Cross Plains school district. Middleton High School is ranked #1 in Dane County and Middleton-Cross Plains school district is ranked #2 in Wisconsin.

ADU:

Belle Farm single family lots were zoned to allow for an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit). On most lots, this will take the form of an apartment space over the garage. These units offer flexible living options—multigenerational households, working from home, hosting guests, or creating a separate living space for family or friends. They also present an opportunity to generate supplemental income through long or short-term rental (with a lease of at least 30 days).
